Anyone have a couple magnets (or at least one) that they would be willing to sell? I can send cash or Paypal. I need one of the stock GV-1 magnets to fit in my aluminum fan.

I already know about the Radio Shack magnets and have 1 on hand, but would like a Futaba size magnet.

My email is: rcrebel@comcast.net if anyone wishes to sell one.

Thanks,
Scott aka rcrebel

Give Hobby Services a call, I would think they can get you a set within a few days.

vitek,

Heliproz is out of stock, and Ricks doesn't offer them. That's why I'm looking here on RR for them. Many pilots have switched to the optical sensors and may have some spares lying around...

Hoping one of these fellas has a spare lying around I can buy.

Radio shack magnets rock, I can get 1cm away and still get 90+% reading (not that I space it that far).

Have you considered going optical? I made the switch a while ago when I couldn't find any magnets, either. I have been thrilled with the results. Alignment is a no-brainer and it works flawlessly.

And yes, this is a shameless plug. Because I have an extra optical sensor (I bought it from Hotwings). I think it cost about $20. If you'd like to try it out, let me know.

One diet soda coming right up! If you come across one, let me know. I actually have one of the rare earth magnets here from Radio Shack, but as you all know, it doesn't fit into the nice, molded cup that is already on the fan.

I have contacted Hotwings to purchase one of the opticals, but he said he was out of town right now, etc. I don't know when he will be back and thought I might find a magnet here on RR.

Rebel,

He's pretty quick about delivery. He was out of town when I ordered mine, too. I think he said he's a charter pilot. Anyway, I still had the sensor within a few days. But, me being impatient, I built my own in the meantime. When I got Hotwing's sensor, I compared it to the one I built. It was nearly identical!

So anyway, I have it laying on my bench and can UPS it to you right away.

Let me know...

, I have about 2 new ones that I'll give away for free.
I no longer use the magnet sensors that comes with the GV1 , i'm using the opto sensors from Heliproz , they work great.Futaba should consider this in their kits.

I live in South Africa , send me your postal details , If the postage is reasonable , I'll post to you for free.
