Yea there has never been an actual reason to gloat though Bob, that's the thing, no explination truly of how anything was done better and a short theatrical trailer and video which again it is VERY hard to determine "anything" from. And in regards to power and flight time I don't care, what moves from point A to B faster is in fact more powerfull, that is simple as that is electric as there is NO clutch, no transfer time and NO hesitation it's instant period. I have both and fly both and when winter hits I'll fly my nitro as then it makes much better power vs summer for obvious reasons.

Note...you have never flown a powerful Nitro by my standards.
Show me a video of an electric running 620's at 2500 RPM for 5 minutes...JUST HOVERING, and I'll contend that you're at least in the ballpark. In fact, no need to show me, do it for yourself.
And, if you think a heli moves from A to B faster at 2250, I suppose I'm wasting my time on ya.

ok shawn...

I have had to put up with your cheap digs for pages now, but, seeing as you are a bit SHORT sighted, I will answer all your questions sincerely, but first a preface:

At the time of HOD Damien was in his second iteration, since then he has gone through 4 more iterations and, at current, seems to be ready for endurance testing. After this final testing is complete I think WE will decide what to do with the conversion "kit"

If a kit can be developed, that, with only two hours of bench mod can be flown hundreds of care free flights it is only then that a market conversion could be a discussion about a possibility of a retail product.

See, Bob and myself are enthusiasts, we do things because we think it's cool, we have fun, we like to tinker and question. As far as making something for "retail sales" that's going to be up to he and I, and that is only if we can make something that's easy and fun for the end user.

OK...here we go!
if Ray Stacys son and Bennys son
Kyle Stacey, Bobby Watts, and Tim Jones are the current pros to fly Damien
and it is just so damned amazing, how come I haven't seen them set one up
It's not a simple conversion. If you just slapped a 91 in a 600 you would have a miserable failure.
but the fact that everyone who has flown it has not been bragging about it or building one for their own, well tells the answers on its' own don't ya think
I have never seen this from any pro, regarding any kit or new release or modification. Why should they do it for us if they don't do it for anyone? Not to mention some pros are under contract obligations, and may be limited to what they can and cannot say, quite simple really.

In addition, this really is not rocket science, it is a 91 in a 600 BUT, as stated above, and many times in this thread...These kind of kits already exist on the market.

Unfortunately the kits on the market do not address the real issues with, not only having a bigger motor in a smaller airframe, but how to properly load a 91 with a smaller disk AND how to really tap the potential of larger displacement. Bob and I questioned why other kits yield poor results, and instead of modifying an existing design we decided to tear off the page, sharpen the pencils and start from scratch.

This is...in all honesty, what really makes this bird pull away from the pack
Only ones bragging are those who think they have "done it better" still with NO facts on "HOW" it was done better
OK this one I have a problem with so I'll see if I can answer you in a concise way:

1. Most all facts about Damien have been released both in past pages as well as recent, including the lead of the video

2. If you have specific questions I'll be more than happy to field them

3. You will request facts at YOUR behest and then turn around and chastise Bob and I for being careless, as other people will try this and get hurt -- DIRECTLY you have said this

4. If you stop believing that something can be done better you have lost your passion, and I might add if the world followed your mentality there would be no, cars, tires, engines, computers, calculators, toasters, vacuum cleaners, modern homes, televisions, Internet, RADIO CONTROLLED AIRCRAFT, OR ELECTRIC HELECOPTERS ETC. ETC. ETC. X MILLLIONS

So you see, everything ALWAYS can be done better, ALL THE TIME, EVERY WHERE, ON ANYTHNING, AT EVERY MOMENT, ON EVERY CONTINENT, period. This is what separates americans from the rest of the world.

Now, no matter how smug, pompous, disrespectful, disengaging, disingenuous, condescending, self COTRADICTING and just plain pitiful you ARE, will be, or evolve into, please realize now...

You will never be tall enough to clear the height line, so your just going to have to come to terms with the fact you can't ride on the Ferris wheel with all your friends

as you like to say...GOOD DAY SIRI often imagine you have your nose in the air when you say this, or is it that your just trying to see above the desk

Now some of these comments are a bit harsh, but, you cannot say you did not earn them, further more if we can keep communicating in a nice way, like we have been most of the time, if I can make it to IRCHA this year I would LOVE for you to fly Damien.

You actually might be impressed, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Thanks, John

Ok,, I got out of this thread long time ago, pop in and I see still bringing up the "bacon", now apparently I am so short I can't see over the keyboard, i'm not far off 6 foot so wtf you talking about? 5'9" and so I wouldn't say I'm Tom Cruise or Sylvester Stallone short for F sakes.

Princess bacon? I goto MANY funflies, MANY have seen me fly what do I need to prove to your a$$?, I know for FACT I can in fact outfly YOU, BOB, AND Randy and I fly less then HALF the time you do, likely more like a quarter of the time so what's with that comment???? Seperated Americans from rest of world, really I think it's time to travel outside of your country more, there is nothing specific to USA over anyone other then more debt currently, there are MANY other countries out there that "go for gold" my friend.

You say you want to communicate in a nice way, back off the bacon bull$**** and your assumptions of my or anyone abilities on the "net" and you'll get what ya want nice conversation, till then a big F you till you sort out your attitude, hows that grab your biscuit? You want to be treated fairly, nice, and have nice conversation then stay far LESS personal and be far less assuming and you will get NICE conversation and discussion. And as for Bob I have nothing personal against Bob, he makes excellent products however the thing is constantly looking for a pat on back and looking for some medal continuously and bragging and saying gloat etc,,, honestly looks BAD and sounds like a kid that didn't get enough attention as a child or something,, just sayin!
Show me a video of an electric running 620's at 2500 RPM for 5 minutes...JUST HOVERING
Bob are you effing deaf, seriously?

right from the START I stated that I would NOT say it would, I have ZERO interest in hovering let alone at 2500, tell me what is point of hovering at 2500? In fact of flying at 2500 rpm? NO it would NOT last for that time at that headspeed and NEVER said it would. Anyone who wants to acheive NITRO flight time CAN and re gear, BIGGEST problem here in this forum IS in fact that 90% likely of the NITRO guys havent even looked into longer flight time setups on electrics and ARE in fact beginners and SPORT flyers, which in that case you need to do more research. I have NO DOUBT about the power you explain of Chuckie, I also have NO DOUBT of its flight time, but as CLEARLY said even by helix it would seems that it is NOT USEABLE power and that in fact it is finicky to fly, therefore no matter HOW POWERFULL that would NOT BE FUN to fly, make sense? I fly my eletric 600s around 2150, and my 90 size electrics between 2000-2100 and my Nitro 50 size around 2100 max as there is no headroom left and 700 nitros around 2000 max again as there is no headroom left, it is about being able to do maneuevers "clean" and have a linear feel. Do I agree or get excited when I see a new promo vid of an electric doing 2300-2500 NO, I want to know what it will do at "normal" headspeeds and how long it will fly. If an electric heli will not perform for 4 minutes at least full tilt, and if I can not gear it to, or find a combo that will on that particular heli then I am NOT interested in it period.

you get the respect you give. period.

Non has ever been given by you to me so why should I give respect to you?

You constantly ask from others what you will not provide your self, so why should we run around at your behest, if you will not reciprocate?

I've seen pictures, hardly 6 ft, you meet a friend of mine at Ircha, this is how I know.

I speak the truth, you come on hear act a certain way and then change your attitude in real life.

I can go on, but I don't have enough time.

No assumptions, just the facts.

Have a nice day Princess Bacon, sorry you have sand in your vag

John, perhaps it's time for you to practice what you preach? You really need to go back and show me how I personally attacked you since being back in thread then you need to asses what YOU have said to ME since then.

Who was your friend at Ircha?, and how is that even relevant to what YOU know about me as a person, a pilot, or in your tough words a fighter? YOU sir have NO CLUE period.

Minute I came back I was "bacon", gone for a long time in fact, witnessed the bragging "still", witnessed the Lon attacks "still", talk about "doing it better" still all with only one original video?

I used to argue with Lon myself, there was a point of mediation between us, I have no clue why you guys are "still" going so hard on him anyhow? Why so personal? There is a line, I don't care about the E vs N stuff but when you or anyone makes it very personal it is a problem BIG TIME.

Where did I call you out PERSONALLY when I returned, "WHERE", where did I get personal with YOU when I came back into thread??. Re evaluate your attitude, and if after that your still a tough guy and feel your comments are just go F yourself, look in the mirror and become a better person.

I only have one more defense to the many derogatory remarks. We have not run into a single person who has actually seen and not given compliments. Only in this friendly place have we had insults from day one. And you, Shawn, talk about actually doing???
Once again, you have never flown a powerful Nitro by our standards. Not seen, not done. Where does all the expertise come from. Preach your own preaching.

And, Helix, don't escalate it to name calling and bashing...sorry, but you're stooping to a lower level.

Bob I was honestly curious and wanting to fly and try this heli, but with the HUGE insults since I came back I am now on a role where its screw you guys and your braggin ass thread where really what was proven? Absolutely nothing, other then some dudes mocked up their own machine to their liking and their personal standards done on their beliefs of what was done better, nothing more. You guys keep going on like your the nice guys, anyone who questions you is not worth it and then the insults come, guess what they get thrown back at ya. You don't like it? You want to be treated better? The STFU with the insults towards anyone outside of USA get off that effin high chair and jst be a human. That's the way it works for me, continue being arrogant or insultive by all means but it is not wanting to fly your heli that I will want as I originally did, but rather wish you the worst luck and harm there is.

Do I know YOU or JOHN in person? = NO! Could you in fact be real nice guys in person? = YES Why can't you on your end at least be open as I am there? Only difference is here on out is how I respond and react.

Up to you, your cards to play from here on out.

I will call you Shawn, or OICU812

you will call me John or Helix

we will call the project Damien or BB 600

we will treat each other with the respect we ourselves want to be treated with.

if we feel one is mistreating the other we will PM each other to let the other know the conversation is going in the wrong direction

we will continue to engage in all discussions regarding power plants AND...

we will HAVE TO GET PISS DRUNK ONE NIGHT AT IRCHA

agreed?

Also, running a heli of the same weight, higher RPM and longer flight time than the heli considered to be the standard for power, on my 1st try.
You stated earlier you went through many different one ways so which is it? Many bad one ways or a bad design???
