I heard the aliens are probing him (I don't know where and I don't want to know). They want to know why he always runs his headspeed so high then complains about short flight times.

Well, I'm sitting here looking at a 620mm bladed heli with the power of a 90 (and geared to use every bit of it ). It's sitting pretty on my mantle until spring.
My fear is these darned aliens are messing with our weather patterns to prevent me from getting out with it.

The funny thing is...the climatologists haven't a clue what's really going on.

LON
While you're there, find out what you can of that weather altering machine...would you???

What gearing did you end up with?

115T Trex700 main gear and an 18T pinion.

I'm shooting to use the torque of this motor. I don't want to hear it whine...I want to hear it GRUNT!

I have my FM's set for 2000/2300/2450 and it seemed promising at all three except I had surging. Very rich settings I think. I emptied the tank in something stupid like 2 minutes or less. I'm going nuts wanting to get on with it but I lose all patience when it's so cold. I'm working on another project now anyway. Spring will be here soon enough.

One thing I can say that was kind of exciting...at least for me anyway. When I hit 2450RPM, the blade noise started to dominate over the engine. I don't know why that excited me actually...I guess because it was quite different for a nitro.

That's cool, but you know, that's an everyday occurrence for an E.
Sorry Bob, I just couldn't leave it unsaid...hehehe

Bob, there's smoke from an e. The jiffy pop li-po bag under the hood cooking everything extra crispy.

I like both. I can plug in a battery just as easy as I can fill a tank!

I concede both have their place for now, but I predict electric in the future, and nitro diminishing drastically.

Yes I agree, the nitro camp will grow smaller as the capability of Electric flight increases, and the cost decreases. But I never see the nitro field completely evaporating...

I plan to have both for the long haul, unless they price Nitro out of the common man's reach!
