What stops a glow engine from pre-ignishon?

Because glow engines have fixed timing built into the engine. There are two types of pre-ignition, that caused by ignition timing, and that caused by temperature. The "ignition timing" is built into a glow engine and is non adjustable. If it got hot enough, it could conceivably pre ignite, but I think the piston melt's down before that can happen in these small motors.
