Installed the OS 90-C-spec on my Freya.
The heli had vibs that damaged screws, clutch bell and also vibs while hovering in high RPM (using governor)

Installed the third bearing - and it all gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worth every $$$ spent. !!!

3rd bearing

If its the 3rd bearing for main shaft he´s talking about you can get it almost anywhere, dont have the part no. available.

the block consists of two items, the block
itself (a hirobo specific part) and then a
vanilla ball bearing.

Bearing block = 404-618, about $24USD
Bearing (10x19x5, 2 per bag) = 2500-049, about $19USD

$$$

Paying 10$ for a bearing is stupid, I went to my local bearing shop and got one for 2 bucks!

I agree with Jonas, buying Hirobo's stock bearings is way too expensive, you can find high quality NSK or NTN from the bearing shop, it's much cheaper.

The part numbers were more for reference so you could make sure you got the proper bearing....I put the Hirobo price there because I had it on my spreadsheet and just for reference - but I'd put a Hirobo bearing up against ANY 2 dollar bearing any day!

That being said, you can get just as good quality of bearing for cheaper than the Hirobo part.

I still don't see how the 3rd bearing removed the vibration problem. If it is the third bearing/block for the mainshaft, I've flown my 91 Freya with and without the 3rd bearing and didn't notice a difference. I just know it provides extra support for the shaft and reduces the load on the other 2.

You don't happen to work for a bearing company, do you? Just Kidding!

i was wondering...

Was wondering the same thing. Does it make that much of a difference to take away vibrations. If it did that, how do you know it didnt just hide the problem? I thought it was just for the added support to the mast!?!?
