I didn't realize Beast X ever caught or got close to be honest. The Gaps just larger now is all. Beast X will need to re group and talk about pc incorporation to get into more features like governor etc. Dials/pots can only take a system so far as Align learned.

I've been quite satisfied with how my vbar has felt over the FB since conversion last August. The update to 5.0 felt better (my skills improved too along the way so was able to test it more) and I was quite content. Now you guys have me going to update when I get home and test it out this weekend

High Voltage just works better

IMHO, I feel if Mikado renamed the "Paddle Simulation" feature to something more like "Stick Acceleration" or "Stick Response", then the FBL crowd would probably be more receptive of it.

As flying styles evolve, with pilots pushing their machines harder and faster, I predict that the use of this feature will become more and more commonplace.
I got 4 more lights on my Logo 600 and two more on the Trex 700E and all I can say is WOW! I really like the difference in the cyclics and I have the paddle simulation @ 20 for now. I am going to leave it there and just get some stick time as I really like the way it flies
Nice Ron, I want to see them this weekend!

Yes it should probably be called cyclic acceleration.

The beast X i flew breifly on a 250, very stable but not tuned to be liking so i cannot really comment.

However the spek satts only one can be used and the piro rate is limited etc and as shawn mentions no gov and vib analysis.

I really think vbar has it all covered.

Each system plays a part but vbar is on top.

I think Uli just gave you guys a feature that was originally included in version 3.x

He used to give you guys access to the bell and hiller features back in the day when the V Bar looked like a mad science project And as a refresher bell make the center stick feel more sensative around some point, but does not affect the max cyclic speed or the rotation rate. The Hiller give the pilot more authority over the gyro control system so you can tell it rotate at some speed more aggressively...i.e. you could do ticktocks faster.

Whichever way you look at it for marketing reasons calling it paddle sim is very clever cause it's the flybar guys who bemoaned the elastic feel, we vbar guys were kind of happy . But i disagree to some extent that we had it all along, we never had the "immediate" response we now have, always had kind of a delay before.

Common sense may not be common after all

Regarding the "Paddle Simulation" title it is doing a good job of attracting people still with a flybar. Good marketing. And I'm sure it is a truly functional feature.

Flew my mini-V 5.1 pro equipped T-500 with no changes. It was a 4.0 black box mini, FYI.

Impressions:

Smooth, responsive, predictable, somewhat more "flybar" like, although much more "locked in" feel. Just my thoughts after a few flights

Very happy with the elevator to aileron response. Seems balanced for the most part.

Updated the control panel too but I cannot seem to find the paddle adjustment on the panel?

Nate

I used the CP (control panel) today to adjust the Paddle Simulation thingy, and I believe it was in the third menu from the left called "Paddle Simulation." I was having allot of fun since adding some in until an oopsy.

Great information. This will help me choose a system. I think this topic should be locked on the first page like the servo data list, but left open for comments. Great job Al. Thanks Leon
