Anyone have any screenshots?
Uli has asked not to release any screenshots yet, a few of the testers have been itching to share it but he insists on making it 100% perfect before the general public gets their hands on it...

100% worth the wait you all will see!

Anyway you beta testers are doing a great job (and at the same time so ugly for us) at keeping that secret.
I understand Mikado doesn't want to disclose it yet, otherwise they would be bugged by millions of requests for changes and improvement before it is even released

Uli is revamping the UI a little more, should have it out to the beta testers any day now. They are adding some safety measures for the electrics.

At this rate the futaba cgy750 will be out. Which already is already a better deal for your money. $319 vs ($319 + $45 + sensor).

The new safety items incorporated is needed, people will run it on electrics even if it was not planned (I'm doing testing right now), and people would have got hurt, playing with external governor on electrics IS dangerous, compare it with a loaded gun where you tweak the trigger.

Better delay it and make it as safe it can be (can never be 100%).

Reward is great though, all of the sudden you can buy el-cheapo ESC's and get good performance.

Point taken MrMel and with it I wonder if we have seen a rare marketing hiccup at Mikado. A gov for the Vbar is a good thing from my (the consumers POV) and could of course be a good thing for the Vbar (more reason to use it on a Nitro) But what is this going to do for ESC sales? Like the Vbar, Jive is the bench mark, unlike the Vbar, a hefty price is paid to fly a Jive. (Im saying the Vbar is very cost competitive and the Jive is not, in terms of cost only)
Now all the sudden, a big (and only 1) Jive advantage is neutralised.

That said, for my money there are several other good and valid reasons to choose Jive, a good gov is not the only advantage. Great BEC, Proven ability to keep the magic smoke in, the best efficiency, and my personal favorite, the ability to handle a wide range of output percentage.

So IMO where does that leave us? Well for me Jive is still worth the jack. My guess is that soon we will see more attractive prices on the Jives. Time will tell.

RIP ROMAN

I still going to run Jives, at least for those I have, but for many others who cannot afford Kontronik, this will be a great alternative, specially since you get governor function on ESC's that even don't have it (you fly in Airplane mode)

You will get things like Autorotation Bailout functionality, Working softstart, and so on.

I have one of those Chinese cheap ESC's inbound tomorrow, so I will test that one next.
Not having BEC is a thorn in the side for me though

Having the gov. was one of the reasons i purchased the pro software for my v-bar, waiting patiently for the gov. to be released for my t-600.
Was going to buy a second unit for my t-700 but may wait or try something else that already has the gov.

knightofcarnage, What is your experience with the CGY750? If none how can one make such a claim?

I'm speaking for myself when i say this. I am and always will be sold on Vbar, I really have no interest in trying anything else, because there is no need to. It's not like i have 3g's and know that there is something better out there. Uli is now on the 5th Gen, 5 generations of experience that can never be caught up with, no matter how hard they try. Customer service has always been above and beyond. RV remotely logged into one of my vbars to check it out. Try getting that level of service from anyone else. (good luck to the futaba fan boys with hobby services, this is the main reason that i won't use anything futaba or hobbico related. It's too bad to, because i do like Futaba, just can't stand hobbico).

With 5.1 and the gov coming out, Uli keeps positioning the bar higher and higher. I beleive that everybody else will keep playing catch up for as long as the FBL trend goes on (for good) and that Vbar will always be the tip of the sword (better the tip than the butt)

Ron,

this is matt (X-Gear LLC, Mark was being Mark and banned that name).

The total g has a gov, but you are getting an integrated atg. I can tell you that you want to hold out for the Vbar gov, I am flying it on 2 machines and I wouldn't want anything less
