Does anyone know if there is a scale fuselage that will fit the Venture or is any company considering producing one?

Real nice helicopter. So you were able to fit the 46 size LR, did you have to do alot of modifing. I would think with all the JR heli's there are that some company would have scale fuselages to fit them. Due to the case type frame of the Venture it must complicate fitting.

JR Fuselage

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, this is the Funkey 46-50 size Long Ranger fuselage. I added some antennas from Vario and some door handles too. Now that I look back, it really wasn't too bad. I spent many hours with my Dremel tool in hand trimming the fiberglass. To get the mechincs to sit in the fuse, I purchased from Lowes a 12 inch piece of poplar wood that was 1/4 inch thick and about 2 1/2 inches wide. I cut 2 pieces to lay in the bottom of the fuse so the mechanics would have something solid to bolt on to. The main area of concern was the end of the tail boom where the cap goes on to cover the gear case on the tail rotor. I had to trim the end of the gear case to get the cap to fit. I also had to open the top of the fuse were the main rotor comes out. That part was easy, I used a beer mug and traced the bottom with a marker and used my dremel to trim it up.

JR in Japan makes fuse's for these helis. The problem is, Horizon Hobby will not import one in even on a pre-paid special order. Believe me, I tried every route to get a JR fuse here in the states. I would recommend the Funkey fuselage from Century.

Let me know if you would like some detailed pics. I can send you some.

Scale Fuselage

The Century Airwolf 30 fits the Venture. It is a Tight fit getting the mechs in but it works. Slight trimming of the tail cap but otherwise it fits like a glove.
