A YS61 will do nice. The OS 70 is the OS of choice.

Both good choices. The YS has a regulated pressure fed fuel system, so some of the fuel delivery issues do not effect it as much as a standard carb, such as on the OS.

i would agree with baja 170.
i run the os 70 and it doesnt bog at all tt 680's and gv-1.
my buddy also has the uprgade kit and has an ys-80 and that thing screams also but it does eat fuel like it was someone in the desert for a week straight without anything to drink. that is why i stuck with the 70.

The 80 doesn't like to be run at the sort of RPM the std gearing will give you which is why the gearing sets are available. Either stick with the 60 or 70 or you are going to have to at the very least change the gearing and use a governor or go the whole hog and sort longer boom, blades etc as well.

None of the big block motors like to pull 18,000-19,000 RPM.

The question is do you want to stay in the 60 range or move up to the 90 size.

OS 61 WC 2 on a Muscle pipe 1, was a powerfull and reliable setup.

But then again 60 engines seem to be getting a thing of the past !
