just picked up a real nice R60 w/OS 61 WC and it seems like its a little touchy on the high side needle. First, my setup is 680mm V1 mains,30% CP and a TT muffler. The motor is new to the heli, but should be broken in by now. I have been slowly leaning the motor and I get to a certain point and where 2 clicks in is to lean, barely any smoke, looses power and 2 clicks rich and it has a raspy four stroke sound to it, leans out under a load but quickly goes rich with no load.
Also, if I set the heli down and go to idle, the rpms are high for approx 20 seconds before it kicks down and idles at a "normal" speed. I have determined that the idle mixure is to lean as well, but wanted to get the high side mixture straightened out before I mess with the low. My midrange screw is all the way in per the instructions..... Any opinions on this is greatly appreciated.

You hover on the "center" needle If you dont' have the instruction go on Ricks site and down load the tuning for the WC I can tell you that starting with the "center" needle "closed" will help adjust the high needle to get a clean hover. the ease it into fw flight go full throttle and adjust till it is right then and only then use the mid to improve the hover don't touch the high.
