I just got my V2 30 with the tt39 last week and with the help of a good friend I got up and running into hover and forward flight. I am concerned about how stiff all the linkages and bearings and just about everything is. It is the arf with the 49bb. Is this someing thing that will wear in or do I need to do something specific to loosen this stuff up to a nice smooth operation. The first heli I had was a used Xcell and so everything was already broke in.

You will find that it will take a few flights for everything to break in as far as bearings, gears, etc as long as you're certain that things are aligned, not over-tightened and that you don't have glue, loctite, etc in the moving areas.

With regards to the ball links, this thread has some good information

Ball links....again
