From Rotory.com Peter Wang Futura Review:

.... for people who will be using an OS or YS engine on the Futura is the optional S4541 or S4543 steel flanged nut. They are a must for installing the cooling fan hub and clutch on the engine. S4541 has 1/4-28 thread and is necessary for the OS. 61 SFN. S4543 is necessary for YS and OS SX engines with 5/16 crankshafts.

Midland Helis in the UK have them in stock.

Strange, I seem to remember the YS nuts were metric M8x1.25 and different from the OS ones.

Yes. M8.

RcMarket would be the place to get them then.
Ron Lund may have a few laying around in a drawer since he used to carry Robbe.

NO

4541 is 1/4"

in reality, I dont think Robbe ever offered a YS compatible one. Ron Lund had them made or converted from 4543 (his number S4543YS).

I suppose if you were desperate, you could get one of them and have it re-tapped to 8mm but YS engines have always been 8mm, not 1/4 or 5/16

I agree. I do not think that Robbe ever made a prop nut for YS engines. Ron Lund re-tapped some stock Bobbe 1/4 inch prop nuts. They were fairly accurate, but not always perfcct. I believe that Vario offered one for their products that worked on Robbe machines. I do not know if it is still available.

I beleive that the only factory made nut for the YS is the Vario part number 67/44. It should work on the Robbe machines with YS motors with standard length (short) 8mm crankshafts. I have one somewhere, I bought years ago, but never used it on my Millies with YS. I kept it for furure use, and I never seem to find it except for when I am looking for something completely unrelated. Needles to say, I cannot find it now! However, at the time it did seem like a direct replacement, if you can still get one. Other than that, the only alternative that I know of is a re-bored and tapped one from Ron Lund.
If you go that route, you may want to get several of them from him. They are not that expensive, and it is good to have a few to choose from when you are up in the middle of the night trying to dial indicate your fan hub

You can just run a tap through the nut if you have an OS one, there is very little difference between the OS and YS threads. It works with fan hubs so i would think it would work with a steel nut also, you try it on a nut you dont need to see how it works first.

YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE..IF YOU LIVE IT RIGHT THATS ALL YOU NEED
