Hi guys,

Just a quick question here. As long as my V-bar unit is perfectly perpendicular to the main shaft, does it matter if it's mounted slightly off to one side or does it have to be bang in the middle of the heli? I ask as I am now mounting it on my Logo 600 and the elevator servo gets in the way a little bit! Will be fine if I can mount it to the side of it, though.

Thanks!

Yes, off to the side is fine - every Logo has an elevator search in the way. Just mount it beside it.

On the V-BAR, the only things that really matter are that the (correct)sides of the unit are parallel to the main frame, and that it is mounted perpendicular to the main shaft. The sensors operate under the same principle as any tail gyro, in that they only register angular velocity. Only difference is that FBL adds two additional axes.

You could mount the V-Bar on a rigid stick standing 5 feet off to the side of a helicopter, and it would work fine as long as it did not flex.
