It looks like the rpm sensor from an align governor uses the same connector for the spectrum telemetry module. So the align sensor can be a pluged into the module for rpm readings.

doing a search i found that spectrum swaps the + and - leads on thier rpm sensors. so a swap of the leads in the connectors fixes this issue.

making a y harness should let you use the telemetry and the gov at the same time.

I am going to use a throttle max governor so i made a y harness. throttle max also uses a swap of the + and - leads. so i swaped the + and - leads on the throttle max as well.

hopefully this all works out. I havent tested it yet.

You'll need to remove the red (V+) wire from the y-harness connector that plugs into the telemetry module. It will back-feed the receiver's supply voltage into the telemetry input bus, and interfere with the telemetry module's external voltage sensing functionality.

I was wondering if the Align sensor would work directly plugged in - I may have to try this. Are you sure you have to swap the + and - probably right since I think Align is the only one that has them in the order they are in AFAIK

You absolutely do need to swap those wires. Once you do, the Align sensor will work.

I tried this yesterday and it will not pick up rpm. So what I ended doing is putting back the red wire(V+) and everything work ok..

well i powered everything up.
i got no rpm in the telemetry.

with my y lead,
i tried with just the telemetry plugged in. the other end of the y was NOT connected to my throttlemax. I tried with all 3 wires plugged into the connecteor that went into the telemetry module and then with the red wire dissconnected. the rpm function did not work either way.

so i plugged in the throttle wax which had power going to it from the rx.
thats when i got a super hot melting wire. it was the black wire, which was swapped with the red wire, coming from the telemetry module.

i thought i had it all figured out. i guess not.

im triing to figure out how i messed up and now my brain is all confused on this wireing.

i got it figured out i think.

the swapping of wires from - and + and the swapping of the wires on the telemetry module connector confused me.

it turns out i had the + and - swapped out on the module connector.
the different polarity on the connector and the polarity swap for the sensor confussed me.

wait im confussed again lol

i think this is correct
