HELP!could some one have some imput on whats going on with my copter?? Im running a futaba 401 and a ds890g tail servo,whats happening is the tail will snap to the right about 6 to 9 inches and back while Im hoving it seems not to do this in flight and also in stunt mode its not as bad but it still does it??? Ive checked all the easy stuff linkage,belt,401 settings..have gyro set at 85% normal mode and 100% in stunt..THIS problem has been coming on slowly..THanks for help!!!

Did you check the teeth on the pulleys?

while checking on the tail pulley, check also the two tail shaft bearings.

those gain %'s are waaay too high and indicative of some other loss of control problem.

the servo may well be on it's way out

ooops i miss your gain settings, definitely very high. set normal to 70 (for a start) and idle up to less than 5% of what you have for normal.

OK, my %'s are high but thats what it was taking to hold the tail so the servo might be the problem.Im getting a 9254 from another pilot to try its a much better servo that the ds890g...thanks for all the info!!!!

I was recently suffering from an intermittent tail kick on my R50. It was a loose ball on the rudder servo arm. Screw was secure with locktight but ball had some free movement and would cause the kick when it shifted. Reseated the ball and it went away. Just something else to check. Good luck!
