On a plus point this wkend i used my slimline sl 2000 for the first time well impressed , only have to carry the fuel bottle from the van .fuel pump and battery all on the bottle ,so handy no pump panel and 12v battery , some expense but you all know how it is i just had to have one ,its a little slower than a normal pump but i am never in a great panic to get the tank filled ,,,

I made a pigtail mod from a 18 volt makita battery. it pump plenty fast and the battery last forever.
begone the days with clumsy power pannel and lousy 12 volt starter battery.

I love that!

This is Gonna be one of my winter projects..
Maybe I will have to charge my makita battery more than once a year.

Now that is novel idea! I use the Slim Line pump with a small 1500mah 3S battery taped to the pump. BUt now I'm really liking the idea of using a pigtail on the starter battery. That means only charging two batteries (RX batt and starter batt) when going to to the field instead of three (RX batt, starter batt, and pump batt).

But unfortunately, I believe I read a post recently about them possibly going out of business.....

I hope not because I want one, and last time I checked at the LHS they were back ordered for a while and the website was not up?
