Hello All

I have a pretty highly modified TREX 600 and I fly it with 550 blades. Here is my setup.

TREX 600 Electric with a Modified HFX Frame Set
Xera 4020-2Y (1000Kv) Motor
Kontronik Jive HV80 with Active Heat Sink and Fan(good for 200A now)
Edge Flybarless 550mm Blades
V Tail Blades
3x Futaba BLS253 on Cyclic
BLS251 on Tail (with Step Down Diode)
Spartan Quark Tail Gyro
ProBar Prototype Cyclic Gyro(with active piro compensation)
Turnigy 25C 6s 5Ah packs(45 bucks per pack!!!)
2s Thunder Power 2.6Ah Flight Pack
Align 6V BEC
Futaba 14Mz Tx 2.4 with 14Ch 2.4 Rx

BTW I replaced the main shaft bearings after that flight and added the third bearing block to the frame. The heli is much smoother now

Wow that is an impressive setup and good flying. Why do you use 550 blades? Why not invest in some 40c packs and fly with 600 blades?

IMHO it flys better on 550 blades than it does on 600's. It originally had 600mm blades on it and it was too floaty and used too much power.

Besides if my heli as good as it does now show me a 600 doing any better I'm flying 45 dollar packs and I can buy the lower priced 550 blades. I invested my $$ where it counts the servos, ESC, gyros, and Tx

Hey Carlo, nice flying man! The Probar looks dialed-in well, as does your flying.

Thanks Al

This is the heli I've been telling you about. Its THE ONE!

The airframe is perfect(geometry, weight, stiffness). The power system is dialed in. It is perfectly balanced.

Its a mix of everything...

Updated PB hardware and software to match. Mainly so I have a down link to data log all the data to my computer live. And I also added a yaw sensor to do the piro corrections actively.

HXF frame set with some stuff removed because its not necessary.

Outrage block because its got holes to lower the head.

Align other stuff because its cheap to replace but tough

From there good electronics and it crazy fun to fly...its one of those that you can trust and not do weird stuff during any maneuvers that I can do.

Hope you had an awesome time at IRCHA.

I have been using Rotor Tech 560’s or Mavrikk 550 wide chord blades on my T600 for a year and a half now. I really like the performance much better than with 600mm blades.

My new 550e is almost a pound lighter, smaller, and more agile than my 600. The 550e is an incredable helicopter.
