Guys,
Have a Spektrum 7100 receiver on my 700LE and instead of the 2-1 was planning on using direct LiFe 2's pack. I'm sure the 610's can handle the direct 6.6 volts but was wondering if a 10amp batt is enough for this setup. (Hyperion LiFe 5C 2100= just over 10 amp output).

Do you believe the standard 610's on cyclic with Spartan/650 with 620 on throttle thru align Gov will ever pull over 10 amps??

if you were to do nothing but hard tic tocs for the full flight duration with a FBL you might get the battery warm? your explanation of what you want/need is what those packs are designed for imo.

im thinking of doing the same on a trex 700e later this year.

Who cares... its just money...

yep, I think I'll give it a go. If not happy I can go up to the Hyperion 3000 mAh batt, that one is 15C so heaps of spare Amp, however I think the 2100 will balance the 700 perfectly.

Cheers.

10 amps is the max a life can take constantly. I believe I read somewhere they can take short bursts of 40+(by short I mean 10-15 seconds). They are all I use and I have not had a single problem.

Husker,
excuse me if I am wrong but I am using the principle of (C rate x amps = the max ouput amps) of the battery. So the Hyp 5C 2100 can provide constant approx 10 amps and the 15C 3000 can provide up to 45 amps. The 3000 is nearly 100 grams heavier thou.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll give the hyp 5C 2100 batt a go on my 700LE.

I am running the Hyperion 2100 LiFe direct to DS610 on four 600 size birds. I am 100% flybarless, so I am working the servos pretty hard.
You will be fine on the 700LE.

The life packs I got from tower are 10C. I am running a 2100 and get 5 flights per charge. You don't need a regulator with a life pack. It is only 6.6 volts. Works great.
