hello GUys,

I have been test flying my LOGO 500 SE and I have a problem with it.

At very low head speed it is doing ok (it is even amaising how stable and quiet it is...) but as soon as i put a bit more headspeed there is a bad vibration induced on the tail, it is high frequency vibes, it is not visible but it is verrrry noisy... I tried to push a bit but had to give up as the Vbar had very bad drifting behaviours when these vibrations happen.

The heli has a quick UK tail grips, Egde tail blades, 8900 G.

All is OK up to 70% on the Ice 100. anything above that will induce the vibration.

Is there something known about that on this Heli?

I think I will put back the stock plastic tail grips to try.

Not a common thing at all.
Try the stock tail first, I've had a quick uk that didn't let the bearings seat properly in the grip resulting in an out of balance tail.
If the stock tail doesn't cure it, check the flanged bearings, they can be destroyed by overshimming the tail shaft, overly tight tail belt, etc.

Just a quick feedback on that one, after changing pulley, bearings, shaft, blade grips, etc without success, I finally tryed with plastic blades and it solved the issue. The problem came from unbalance on the EDGE tail blades...

Now I fly the 500 with plastic blades and i enjoy this really amazing little machine...

Is it me or this time the ground was higher than last time??

I had bad high rpm vibes on mine. I was using 85mm NHP tails which i balanced. I put set of K&B's on & it's perfect. Crazy how a £5 set of plastic blades work better than £15 carbon ones

If going to a set of plastic blades from well balanced carbons gets rid of a vibe, it's not fixing it, but simply masking the issue.
The flexible plastic blades will provide a certain amount of "damping" effect, where the carbons are very rigid.
That's why the carbons provide superior tail control.

When changing to plastic tail blades makes the vibe dissappear, it's a tail blade tracking issue. Change the pitch slider fork assembly out, and the tail hub+grips.

possibly as NTM states, however perhaps the tr blades you had were that far out, tough to say. Certainly when you can try another set of CF blades and see how it goes.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

No, i had a set of NHP's before & there was no vibes, with the new set i got vibes. Then put K&B's on & no vibes. It was the blades & i know that from testing the tail without any blades & there was no vibes without tail blasdes too so the heli itself is spot on,
