With the recent release of new machines (both 50 & 90 size) and new electronics etc onto the market, I was wondering what you all think we can expect to see from JR in the coming months ??

I think they will come out with a dedicated electric Vibe 90SG. Right now you have to buy a complete kit, throw away the $300 main frames, and buy the new $350 frames and E conversion kit if you want to have an electric Vibe 90SG.

G

Oh, I was just guessing. I don't know about the E 50. But that is certainly the direction the market is heading...

There’s already a dedicated VIBE E12 SG kit.
At least it’s available in Europe

There you go then. Didn't see that on Horizon's site so I thought it wasn't out yet.

Maybe a Vibe 50 electric next? Or is that out already too?

Don't know why Horizon is sleeping?
I think JR is using all their resources to finish their E12 conversions/kits of Sylphide and Airskipper.

Probably a Vibe 550 or a 450. I still haven't figured out why JR isn't one the more popular heli brands. Why are they are not more aggressive with sponsership and pricing?
The Vibe 50 is probably the best 50 class heli you can buy and the price point is as cheap as a Trex 600. If they keep going with the price point of Vibe 500 ($575-$700), they will never become a leader.

I absolutely love my JR Vibe machines, their quality and presence in the air, but I do wonder if JR is really interested in being a market leader in the hobby at all as they seem to be quite happy with low volume, high price sales. Now thats a real shame, and I guess its not for this thread but rather a whole new debate of its own.

Hi Garry,

You're right. That topic is covered here: https://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/...ight=JR+pricing

With the recent release of a dedicated Electric both FB and FBL, and also the Nitro FBL kit, I don't think I want to see anything else from JR at least for a year. Maybe more option parts???!!!

G

if you get it before Christmas I ordered once from Europe and it took a few months to get the package for some reason

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Heck yea G !
I've decided to get a gas heli next, for a number of reasons.
The quality of my Vibe 50 is second to none in my eyes. I had no idea that JR was even thinking of a gas model. Thanks for the heads up.
I guess it's much too early to here of the price & the e.t.a. I'll be watching.

Hi,

They have been making gas helis for a while, mostly used in AP. This is just an upgrade to the previous models.

Hey George

Have you got nothing better to do than hang about the JR site looking for new bits????

You got me thinking last night (all the way to Bahrain and back) about getting back into f3c.... i might have to just do it.

Regards
Paul
