I just started doing some harder 3D moves and noticed my Vibe 50 has a wobble. For example doing a tic-toc when I start pitching back transitioning to inverted and ease into negative collective to stop the motion, I get no wobble. But if I do the same move, being more abrupt with negative pitch, the whole heli wobbles side to side like I am giving it crack stick movements. Upright with full abrupt positive pitch, the heli is steady as a rock.
I changed my head RPM from 1800 to 1900 and the wobble was less likely to happen. I could keep going up on head speed but I am wondering if this is masking a problem? Maybe my blades don't like the lower RPM?
Mechanically everything checks out OK.

What blades you are using, engine, ..?

My helicopter does the same with low head speed, 2050 rpm in my vibe and no wobble.

me too..check your dampners, i would raise your head speed to 2100 and you should have no problem..also check if you have any wobble in your headspeed

I am using Turnigy carbon blades and I have an OS50 H-ring.
I will bump it up to 2100 and see what happens. The engine struggles to maintain head speed (governed) under hard load with these blades. I checked the dampers and they are in great shape.
I have gone through the head and all is like new after three seasons of flying. Amazing how little wear this heli has after all the flight time I have put on it. JR really made this model well.

keep us posted what the changes do...does your head have any movement at all in it..mine actually still has slight movement and im not sure how to fix it still but im going to take my head apart and check my dampers too...let us know what raising the head speed does cuz that helped my 600 out a ton!!

2050 rpm seemed to do the trick. The engine is a lot happier running at the higher RPM. I changed pipes last week and now the engine needs to get up to about 70% to get into the power band. Now I am having a bit of engine tuning issues. With a temp guage I am running 129° at the back plate and 260° at the head. (Normally the engine runs 220° at the head). The engine is running sweet but if I go 1 "click" rich on the HS needle to get the temps down the engine starts running poorly and bogs hard under load.
It being 104° outside is just two hot to keep the engine cool.
260° engine temp at the head is not ideal for engine longevity but it will be OK.
No slop in the head. I did finally have to tighten up the swash bearing set screws to take up some of the bearing slop.
