No you will have to wait for the next firmware upgrade.

Skookum has it working with the R6108SB receiver and will have it in the early September FREE software upgrade. You will need to purchase a low cost interface cable from Skookum (I wonder if that would work with V-Bar).

So it is not really free now is it So instead of saying you pay XXX amount for the software and cable, they just say you buy the cable and the software is free

Won't s.bus have more latency than just wiring up a standard Futaba receiver? Vstabi says single line setups from a pure technical standpoint will not be as fast as either satellites or a standard receiver...So, other than getting rid of a few wires, why would you want s.bus on a Vbar'd helicopter?

S-bus makes more sense in a plank than a heli I would think.

S-Bus is suppose to be faster because it gets the signal before it goes through the channel decoder. You probably won’t notice any difference.

The main thing is that you will only need one cable from the receiver to the gyro and one cable from the gyro to run all the servos. I know that gyro designers are working on the receiver to gyro connection but I don’t know if they will have an S-Bus output to run S-Bus servos. When they due that the gyro could be made much simpler with only two connectors. It will take a while before manufacturers figure out how they will use this new technology.

Oh well, I guess nothing is free indeed. Well, the better systems are usually more expensive anyway....makes sense that way.

I wonder if it’s just an adapter cable that you could make yourself or are there some electronics involved?

S-Bus and Spektrum Hires mode (2048 Steps) will be available in a few weeks.

If someone had a look at my Logo 500 SE at IRCHA ... he could see the S-Bus RX there ;-)

MIkado VBar - what else ;-)

Except the 25+ Vbars they gave away... Their support at IRCHA was free... Vstabi.de for factory direct support is free... The s-bus and Governor upgrades will be free... All the shows and demonstrations were free... They give back plenty... Anyway, I digress.

Wouldn't that signal still have to be decoded in the v-bar in order for the flight control system to calculate new signals to then send to the servos?
