I am flying an Outrage 550 and love it. I also fly nitro 50's too. Would like to plan another EP machine. What are some pros/cons on 500 vs 600 besides simply the battery cost.

I would get the Logo 600 if I were you. I had a 500 and don't get me wrong, it was a great heli, but the 600 flies so much better. The 600 has more power due to running a more powerful motor, and running either 10S or 12S. The 600 is a good deal bigger so presence in the air is huge. The 600 flies better and is smoother, and of course autos alot better due to bigger blades.

I have only had my 600 for about a month now, but I can tell you its my all time favorite heli. The 600 is amazing and I was blown away by the difference in how it flies compared to the 500.

When u don't feel like soaring through the air with a plane, beat it into submission w/ a heli!

...Hmmm. I was afraid of that! LOL!! The expensive ESC will be a big ticket item indeed if I go for the Kontronic, which everyone says to run. I have been very happy with my ICE 100 in the 550, but suspect I will want to spend the longer dollar for the overall best experience with the 600. Since I don't have any 500 packs to use, that part isn't a factor. I can get 20C packs for a 10S setup for almost no cost, so I will start out with those. Thanks for your input. Maybe I will see a 600 airframe for sale at IRCHA this weekend (probably not!)

I won't arrive until around 11:00 am Saturday. So I will likely be relgated to the end nearest HQ. But, I will be the one wearing a t-shirt my wife got me that has "throttle curve", "pitch curve", "learning curve" with a crash under it. LOL!! Toking on a stogie with a green flyfishing hat..

I've been running a Jazz 55-10-32 (heatsinked now) w/great-results, there are still a few of these around if you're looking for an alternative (cost-wise) to the Jive 80+HV

I fly a 500SE with a 4025 motor and an YGE100-LV. With 600 blades the performance is great! Currents are higher of course and it's a less powerful motor, but it is much lighter too so that compensates quite a bit. I believe the 4025-890 is 2700W and with a 3kg AUW setup it's just great! I use a 600 canopy on it so you can't see much difference compared to a real 600....

I use a hyperion 5000 6s 35c

How are you able to get batteries so cheap? Can I buy some from you?

It's what might be called a limited time offer. I am working on a project to construct a new lipo battery facility in my home town. We will be manufacturing automotive cells. 60Ah cells! I don't yet know the discharge rating, but we're just getting the project started. I made a connection needed for sourcing a few packs. As a result, I researched what packs they have versus what helis need the available sizes. There are only a few available. Sorry! I have four 3S1P2100 30C packs for my Beam E4. They are really well constructed packs, but due to the China suppliers who are making them so cheap, our partners are targeting higher margin applications for the military. One pack I saw in development will be used to power avionics for a certain popular US fighter jet. Was pretty cool. Lipos are going to be in many new applications before we know it! For now, I am on a fun ride at work!
