If money is a total non-issue, I would recommend electric.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

And may I add alot less run time.
But if it is mostly a trailer queen for shows with the fancy fuse and all that it may not be a problem I guess.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

STATOR VS MULTIGOV-PULL THAT ELECTRIC
i decided to go with the predator condor v2.0, w/bh hanson modified g26, the spectrum dx7 ar7000 rec w/ 4- d8821 md2 servos, the jr g7703d gyro s8900g combo pack,the bell222 blue painted fuse w/ retracts right now the funkey ones from century the century, all metal upgrade kits boom and tail, the CSM revlok20 stator gator version w/usb interf. and the fma fs8 copilot 2. today i took delivery of all but revlok, and the fs8. looking thru all the components i decided i may have made one mistake,the pull start. the zenoah g26opuh has an electronic ignition version just recently released, hope i can make the switch. be kinda difficult with a pull start in that bell222. i plan to do a step by step photo build just to document my successes and hardships and post them in my galley..any advice help tips , words of wisdom or wisecracks will be greatly appreciated. until build, wish me luck guys. :still TOTALLYHOOKED

dx7 ar7000 rec w/ 4- d8821 md2 servos,
The DS821 servos are known problem servos - don't use them!!

The manufacture does not recommend them for this size heli

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/...?ProdID=SPM3702

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Product...?ProdID=JRPS821
For helicopters, the DS821 operates best with 30-size glow models, and up to 50-size electric. Loads and vibration in larger models may cause premature failure of the servo resulting in damage or injury to property and persons.

Man,,, If I had a dollar for everytime someone asked me that..

XGM = Xcell Gas Man
VGM = Vario Gas Man;

I think the 8417's would be overkill, but's that's totally up to you, the 8311's are a great servo, and will give you several years of trouble free service, if not abused..

Oh,, Welcome to RR.... XGM/VGM

Also,, Just so you will know,, I tried the CSM with the Stator Gator several years back, and I did not like the way it would overspeed the engine, while decending, Make sure it (CSM) is for the Stator Gator, it will have SG printed on it somewhere,,, I use the Futaba GV-1 with the Stator Gator, with great results, Now remember this was several years ago, and I'm sure that CSM has made some changes, I'm sure that someone that is useing one will chime in,,, XGM/VGM
