Oh well, back to serfdom.

Federal workers earning double their private counterparts
At a time when workers' pay and benefits have stagnated, federal employees' average compensation has grown to more than double what private sector workers earn, a USA TODAY analysis finds.
Federal workers have been awarded bigger average pay and benefit increases than private employees for nine years in a row. The compensation gap between federal and private workers has doubled in the past decade.

That is not the end of it. Not only continuing government growth. But, each year, fed employees will get raises. Those raises will be percentage of existing salary. If you do the math on this, it will be sickening. Not only sickening, but unsustainable. Much the same as state government compensating state & local employees far, far beyond the private sector.

what is even more amazing is that people are only, just now, realizing all of these things.

been going on a long long time.

and here is what will be done about it. nothing.

50 years late and a few trillion short.

As long as the wacko left keeps acting like they are now, it will change. But, we are going to have to suffer more pain first.

Part of a very well contrived plan. Cloward and Piven. Grow the government labor force to where it overtakes the private sector.
Can you say Socialism?
Sure I knew you could.......

I work for a county government and we make less than the private sector around here, always have. We haven't had any raises or cost of living increases in 3 years. They have cut our health benefits and made us pay more for it. This year they are laying off lots of employees myself included (most likely) and those that still have jobs will take a 5% pay cut. Meanwhile the feds are paying their people these ridiculous salaries on our dime. It just makes me sick. We are so screwed on revenues because of the housing bubble. With plummeting property values the tax revenue is much lower than it has been. This leaves the county with less money and more people (roads, fire, police, etc) to serve than before the bubble. I guess we can thank Barney Frank and his ilk for this mess. All those responsible should be in jail not in office. It really does seem like they want to take the whole country down. You can't mess up to the extent they have by accident. This is planned. America better wake up and wake up NOW!

Sorry to hear that. But, thats what is supposed to happen.

Never happen. Not as long as the libs have any votes in Congress.

Yes, it is. ALL the warning signs were out there before the 2008 election. But, a lot of very, very stupid people went to the voting booths expecting that check in their mail box. Those people are not happy now. They did not get their checks. The far left is not happy. They did not get Canadian Health Care and the Pentagon is still standing. Independents and conservatives are pissed.

I think it will be a different outcome on November 4th. From then on; We'll have to wait and see.

the warning signs were clear 50 years ago but also in the late 90's when myself and a fellow flier used to have these discussions at the local hobby shop.

very few back then would even discuss it. had no clue.

I feel your pain. I work for a State entity and we are in the exact same boat. Not to mention the joy of furlough days. To save money the State ceased it's contribution to our retirement accounts and we the employees have to make up the difference-2.5% out of our paycheck. Last month the Gubbernor announced that there still is a $100 million shortfall in the budget.
I see more furlough days down the road.........

100% on the money Dennis.

Wow, that a real brain drain. Private sector = Mcdonalds, Burger King , the kid workin the summer job at the movies, ect. All non skilled jobs at the federal level are contracted out.

Do you people EVER question anything other than the goverment? Of course not. Your house of cards would fall apart.

Carry on with the chicken little sky is falling banter now

Hey, belittle the comments all you want, but the FACTS still remain as stated in the article.

All the money HAS to come from the private sector, not from the government.

i don't think people literally thought they would receive a check just because they voted for O-Dumbass.

if that was the case it is far worse than i thought.

would want some proof that a large number of people actually thought that.
