A friend has recently been inspired to ressurect this early Bell with the old Kg22 type motor. When giving it a good checkover we found the clutch pinion upper support has excessive play, not the bearing but the upper part of the pinion shaft is worn,it should be 6mm in diameter, through wear it is closer to five now.Do an of you guys with a similar model know where i might track down this part, any help would be much appreciated,i do not think there is a manual with this heli so i do not know the part number but if necessary we could remove and photograph the part.

if you are stuck try to find a bearing that has the same od but 4.5 or 5mm id and the get an enginering shop to turn the pinion to fit the bearing
once done loctite the pinion into the bearing
i know this works as i did it to a sceadu pinion for a guy that i flew with when the lhs was out of stock, a few years later i bought the heli and its still running the mod

Thanks for the input
That could be an option worth considering if spares are hard to find.
