I was able to get with Brian as to ask about the status and timeline for the new 90.......After battering him about it....the best I could get out of him is that he said it was in the R&D/Prototype phase. I further tried to get him to give me an idea of the release date, but he would not budge wanting to play it safe and not releasing a date until he knows for sure. I will say that judging from his expressions that he is very excited about it!!!

I have spoken with God and he says that MA is a dead fish and no new helicopters will ever be produced by this company. Of course I was sorry to hear that. The good thing is that he promised that I would be able to buy spare parts for my Stratus for a couple of years to come.

Would anyone please explain these remarks? Is it true? Considering I have only MA helis, its got me a little concerned!

Thanks!

Well considering that MA released the Fury 55 and the Furion 6, we can assume that, along with confirmation from Jeff @ MA, there is a 90 in production. As far as spare parts for the stratus... they "should" produce parts for the heli for a while. Perhaps start stocking up! Lol

Just scare mongering guys and stenkilde that was in very poor taste to be honest. I've seen the new 90 design and the direction MA is taking and it is very very exciting with lots of new and extremely innovative design features. Personally I feel it will be worth waiting for.

Thanks All!

Such a shame someone has nothing better to do than spread worthless roomers. MA is one of the reasons why I got into helis in the first place! It's probably just an Align rep. HA HA! Just kidding!

How about someone find a spy pic of the new 90? Isn't there anyone in Billings with a telephoto lens?

I'm sure RCHeli Resources will make it worth your while if you sit outside of HeliProz for the next few weeks waiting to catch a photograph of the new MA 90 being test flown. Sure, Brian will probably have some crappy canopy on it disguising it from prying eyes, but something is better than nothing, right?

Come on. I want to see it. Please!!!

As for people who think MA is going down, think about it for a minute. This is probably the strongest Miniature Aircraft has ever been. They have a parent company who not only loves helis, but who also has a lot of money. They never had that before.

They are not going to discontinue Stratus parts. You can still buy parts for the oldest MinAir heli. Continued product support is a fundamental part of their business model.

The only significant change we will see with MinAir is that their helis will have less parts. This is a change I think we can all live with.

I'd like to assure everyone that we are just fine. And Mr. Stenkilde WILL infact be able to get parts for his Stratus for years to come.

I am about 90% through my build on the new Furion6 (waiting for electronics etc) and I assure you that MA is most definitely on their game right now. These new offerings with the Fury 55 and the Furion 6 are refreshing and cutting edge. Ultra simple innovative designs, low parts count, less expensive than ever before, and this with absolutely NO compromise in quality.
New management, new website, new helicopters…. If you don’t see the direction this company is headed pull your head out of the sand!
