For the purpose of our home enjoyment of watching Mark Ryder's awesome up and coming videos, could you IRCHA attendees put Duct tape over the mouths of those whom stand next to Mark's mic yelling, "LOWER....WOOO...YEE HAA....BLADE STOP!"

How about the air horns? Can they do air horns?

FWIW, +1. I want to see and enjoy the flight. I've never understood the crowd trying to screw the pilot up with air horns.

I have to agree on the yelling lower part. THey usually yell it the loudest when they are already right on the deck, where any lower would crash it.

Yeah, yelling "lower" when it is already inches off the ground they might as be yelling "crash it, I want to see it crash!"

I was trying to watch and enjoy Tareq's flight listening to the blades and his sweet collective management thru my home theater sound system, cranked up loud, then there was a loud screeching sound came across....."YEE HAAAA!" Damn, my neighbors looked at me weirdly for the rest of the day

I agree, as I was enjoying watching the art of piro flips inches from the ground, some mo fo STANDING NEXT TO THE VIDEO MIC yelling, "LOWWWER!"

Either way, have fun! But if you need attention from others at the event find other ways, please don't yell into the mic where it would make most of us cringe watching it at home

We kindly appreciate it

I love the air horns and the shouting! Pilots like to know they have the crowd behind them. If you were flying in front of a crowd and they were silent, how would you feel?

60% of the time, it works every time!

I can't afford it so I'll have to rely on RR's videos.

Great for the pilots, what ever makes them happy

Exactly. The noise keeps the pilots fired up. On more than one occasion I have witnessed flights get better and better just because the crowd was going crazy.

I think I'm gonna stand right next to Mark Ryder and scream "crash it" whenever they are on the deck. Joe will be on the other side of Mark with his vuvuzela. Enjoy the videos guys

Don't get me wrong, cheers and applause is fine.

Lose the "lower" when it's already at 5 inchess off the ground and lose the airhorns and you'll hear no more complaining from me.

imo, yelling, swearing, hooting and hollering and general jackassery is just fine. It's all in good fun! I have no problem with any of it EXCEPT the air horns. Those things are SSSOOOOO obnoxious. For the love of god people! Leave them at home!

Man you guys type quick. fwiw, I think they're obnoxious at soccer and rugby games too.

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

It's my belief it is the timimg of the yelling that is the most annoying. Sure there are plenty of times when the crowd is cheering screaming and yelling that seems to be "in sync" with whats happening. Like the crowd at a football game. But there are a lot of vids that have screaming and yelling at moments in the flight where it just doesn't seem to fit. That's the times when it gets under my skin.

just my $0.02

I tried yelling and cheering during a Pro tennis match and during a back swing of a PGA golf tournament once. It didn't go over too well

I don't think we ever suggested not yelling or cheering. If the pilots love it and need it, more power to them. Just please not near a hot Mic.

At the end, I don't give a rats a$$ what ya'al do, make sure ya'al have fun! I'll simply turn down my speakers and make my own fart noises

Shawn,

I'm broke, you got me hooked on these damn things called Logos
