Minor Park today

I'm charging my batteries now. I will be there as long as it's not raining.

question to the guys with electric helis

I've been flying my trex 250 in my backyard the last couple days. It's really awesome!

The only thing I don't like is after the first minute of flight time the power drops. The main difference is the collective gets squishy. It's strange for me because I have not had to worry about that with nitro helis and if I don't anticipate the power reduction I have some close calls with the ground. Is this normal for electric helis?

What head speed

What head speed are you running. It would make sence if your running a lower head speed, you would notice more change. If your running a high head speed and you notice a Chang in one min. It's your battery.

Once in a life time picture

As I was driving into Tucson today I got a picture of a Huey. They were rescuing a naked blond off a building. I'll try to post it latter.

The weather turned out great today at Minor Park. Raptorman worked some bugs out on his Trex700. Everybody had a good time.

250

I don't know what the head speed is exactly but in idle up I just have the throttle at 100%. Sounds like I need some batteries. Thanks Raptorman and 3dman!

The weather was really nice! I wish I could have got out to Minor Park but something came up.

What a fun weekend.

Sure had fun.

I was watching the history Chanel and apparently Bengerman Franklyn didn't want the Eagle as the American symble he wanted the wild turkey. He thought the turkey was a smart and weary bird. It's a good thing others were around to straighten him out. The Eagles motto is why pluck the ground with the turkeys when you can fly with the Eagles. If Bengerman would have been involved we might all be still pecking the ground with the turkeys. I think the members that wanted the Eagle told him to go fly a kite.

250

I ordered 4 voltz 850mah 35c batteries. I'm looking forward to even better performance! I also got the skorpion pinion set. I would like to try more head speed also.

Now I want a beast x haha...

Does the skorpion motor make a lot more power? It is rated 3900kv vs the 3400kv stock motor. I'm sure it would seem like it makes more power with the same gearing but what if the stock motor is geared to produce the same head speed?

Thanks for the compliment Raptorman! The 250 keeps getting better as I tune it a bit and get used to flying it. The last couple days i've flown all four batteries back to back in my backyard. I'm getting more flight time in with it and i'm starting to do more 3d like piro flips etc! The space is tight but it sure is convenient!

Pete's not the only one feeding the Eagles.

 FEEDING EAGLES

                                          FEEDING THE EAGLES

January of this year, 2011, the weather stayed so cold in St. Louis, Missouri and Alton, Illinois that the bald eagles were cruising over houses in hopes of a quick meal.

They could not access fish that were at the bottom of the river and had gathered together.

Some kind souls decided to feed the eagles so they would survive the cold spell.

They gathered fish and started feeding the group of eagles huddled on the shore.

The photos below show what happened.

A retired teacher took these photos in
front of his home.

Incredible!

Feeding the Eagles!

A beautiful morning feeding the eagles,

Jan. 2011

Once the fish were thrown, the eagles did not seem to fear the good Samaritans and word spread fast!

Eagles vying for the fish,

January, 2011.

No zoom lens used here!

The photographer was this close!

Here are the men who were feeding them.

So close!!
As you know, it was not too long ago that the American Bald Eagle was an endangered species.

Amazing pictures --- please pass along!
