KCRC Swap Shop Pics
The Eagles went to the KCRC Swap & Shop today. It was fun and we all met a lot of new people and the merchandise was great to check out. After the Swap & Shop event, the Eagles went to the field to do a little flying. Check out the Pictures! It was a great day!

Big daddy

Darwin, AKA Big Daddy was spotted at the KC/RC swap meet. Big Daddy was the first RC helicopter guy in Kansas City to fly switchless inverted. This is the modern way we fly 3d today. He is a true innovator in the Kansas City area. When he was flying he was the man with great flying skills and exceptional building skills. He taught me and a lot of others how to fly and build. We used to go to his house and down to the basement where he would share all his building secretes. I sure had alot of fun in those days and would like to personally thank him for all his time and effort. Darwin we love you come on back to your home helicopters. You will always be the big daddy or better known as Panty Boy.

I was just starting out when Darwin stopped flying. I don't think I ever saw him fly... I remember he made some really nice parts though. I had a set of his fiberglass blades on my xcell 60se that flew awesome. I was very disappointed when I crashed them.

3DManA1, I remember when I was learning you would come out to minor park with two raptors and crash them both every time. That was hardcore! No one can say you have not paid the price for your ability.

Yard stick
In the old days we would measure success or pilot skills with a yard stick. If you could hover 3 foot off the the ground In a mounth then Darwin would buy you a dinner. At least that's what I was told. I never did get that dinner but I sure learned to hover inverted. I guess I owe Darwin a dinner for pushing me.
