Wow. Just wow. This is my first go at FBL. Brand new heli (TREX700 w/DS610's and DS650 on the tail), brand new motor (OS 91HZ-R) and Align 3G unit. Maiden'd the bird tonight. Setup of the 3G was a breeze. I am running 14 degrees collective and 12 degree cyclic. 30% expo on elevater and aileron. 20% expo on rudder. Preset gains to 11 o'clock. Heli popped up in the air on the first spool up and just sat there. No bobble, no oscillation, nothing, just a steady and comfy hover. And it was windy today. Steady 15-20mph with gusts 25mph easy, maybe more. Flew 3 tanks working the new motor in. Forward flight worked well, big loops were good. Overall the heli flew great. This is a V1 unit as well. USB update link arrives tomorrow in the mail so lookng forward to V2.1. All in all, my initial impressions are VERY good. Gonna get the motor leaned out a bit more and then start tweaking the flight characteristics, but based on these first 3 flights, it wont need much tweaking at all. I am impressed. Only thing I did differently was the 3G manual recommends 10mm out for the ball on the rudder servo. I didnt like that so I set my ball at 13.5mm out. Seems to like it there. 35% gain (Futaba radio), might need to up the gain a bit, but motor is still rich. Havent done any hard tail aggressive stuff yet, so we will see how it goes.

Flew the new Radix 710FBL blades. I like 'em!

Honestly I was not expecting this much success (I had been holding out for 3G and Rave ENV, but the summer is going by fast and couldnt - didnt - want to wait any longer). Again, I am impressed and very happy at this point. This heli is going to be FUN, I can tell!

Funny that the 3G is so simple to set up. Glad to hear you had a good first few flights.
