I was watching as the brazillian dude decked it doing pretty much the same thing.... stalling the wing. Stones and skillz.

Matt Hall is one smooth pilot......right up there with HA and PB.

Did they ever find his seat cushion? Or is it still sucked all the way up his intestines?

It looks to me like a stall, but how can he stall it when he is going so fast?

It looked like something came off the plane when he touched. Anybody know what it was?

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

I would say a wheel pant, but the wheel pants look OK as the plane flies off. What kind of plane is that anyways? Incredible power-to-weight ratio.

Your stall speed increases with G load. Pull enough G's and the stall speed can go way up. Reason is an airfoil stalls at the critical angle of attack, it has nothing to do with airspeed.

He tore off the wheel pants on the right wheel look and you can see that he also lost a wing tip the covering and he tore up his aileron a bit.

here they show some better video and he talks about it and they show the damage to the plane.

Matt is the Chuck Norris of airplane pilots!

He is just so good that while flying he saw a fish in the water and dipped the wings down to try and catch it but in the last second it got away!

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

This isn't the first time the MXS-R has done this type of stall. Hopefully they'll re-evaluate this aircraft before someone gets really hurt or doesn't survive the crash.
