Jive 80 with a couple 5K 25C 6s batteries. Do I need higher rated batteries
? I have read some post that say the Jive 80 can pull up to 140A.

Its your motor that pulls that amps.

25C is fine depending on what size heli. The higher the C rating the better performance and longer cycle life. By the best you can afford.

Sorry guess I few more details would have helped. Its for a rigid more of a fitment concern. Found some 25c 5k 6s that will fit really well but not sure if 25c is enough. Kontronik Pyro700-52 with jive 80

25C is ok, if its HK lipo a bit low.

It will be fine but higher C the better.

I am currently using 12s 4500mah 30c and they are very cool after flights. I will be getting an I.R. temp meter as my motor and controller (both kontronik, jive 120 and pyro) are warmer than expected.

From what I hear the max amps is 120 peak and the continuous is much lower (dependant on headspeed and flying of course)

I will soon fit a data logger and measure exactly what is going on :-) I think 25c will work if your not flying real hard but I have not tried them myself.

regards and enjoy
