I'm on business travel and thinking about buying a huey fuse for my ION X2 mechanics and I don't have a critical dimension that I need. The heli is at home in SoCal, so I can't check it myself. If anyone can measure from the top of the frame under the swash to the bottom of the frame where the gear mounts and let me know the dimension, I would appreciate it. If it doesn't fit, I'll have to modify it, or buy Vario skyfox mechanics for the huey. I don't want to order the fuse until I know if my mechanics fit.
Thanks

Hello Mojave, with a scale I measured 59mm from top of frame to bottom of frame in the area where the main shaft is installed (see edited old pic for reference). Hope this is what you needed and is not too late.

Bud, thanks for the effort, much appreciated. The dimension I was looking for is from the top of the frame to the bottom where the skids mount. That way I know if the mechanics are too tall for the fuse. I'll be home from the Cape this week, so I'll be able to measure my own ION. But if you have the dimension handy, I'll gladly take it

Sorry man, thought you meant where the "main gear" mounts instead of landing gear. Now it makes more sense. From top of the frame to the plane where the landing gear attaches I measured about 202mm (see pic). Hope this helps.

Awesome, that's exactly what I needed! Looks like the ION will fit no problem. That's 7.958 inches, which means that the mechanics should fit inside the doghouse just fine. Thanks for your help!
