Finally got around to posting something..if the vid is a little rough, I'm still learning. This is my "beater/daily driver" 450SE. I had just done some canopy work on her. I made intake sccops to the nose on both sides, to try and bring in a little air. Since it was just around the pool, not much cooling there...need to get full free flight to really see a difference. But anyhow, now you can see that I do try to fly, and I not a "poser"

Hope ya like...

Man, you certainly have a full collection of "death hazards" around your place. You have a high fence, a shed, close neighbors and a swimming pool. The only thing missing is overhead power lines. LOL

Yea, the yard is difinately full of "death traps". I only test hover there to check things out. Was doing so, when the wife wanted to try out the movie function of her camera.

What are those 4 black bracket thingies on the skids? Left overs from training gear?

looks like it. 500 skids were my training gear on my 450 sport. glad to see a video of someone who is still learning. i am so inspired that i took friday off, charging my batteries and try some serious forward flight and maybe a few circles. and might even hit idle up

New Floaties...

Fresh off the production floor. Total investment about 7 bucks for materials. I tried to patern them off of the Helimax design. I'm still waiting on the weather to break for test flights, and then hopefully, on the pool...and not "IN" the pool!

Mel,

Yea, those are leftovers, however they hold up better than the rubber skid stops, so I kept them on, kinda saves my skids a little.

There ya go! How is the tail rotor to water line clearance? It looks a little tight, and hear water plays hell with the 'ol tail rotor when it touches.

stupid gravity......
