How tight does the pinion on the bell have to be? Since there is no good way to tighten it. Do you guys lube the dampeners? if so what do you use?

?'s

Most regular hand pliers have a second, larger set of teeth just behind the main jaws close to the fulcrum. These fit perfectly into the teeth of the pinion. Don't forget your locktite.

Yes, lube the dampeners. I use diff lube. I think it's the same stuff that rc car guys use.

The pinion does not need to be tight, simply screwed on all the way. I grease the threads for easy removal and I also do this mod.

I use tamiya ceramic grease for the dampers. Good all around plastic/rubber safe grease, good for servos too.

Silicon dielectric lube, autoparts stores have it, you definately want them lubed.

Don't ham fist the pinion, the rotation naturally tightens it
