I finally finished my Trex 450 build this past week and charged a couple packs. Today I met up with fellow pilot and my mentor and he tweeked the gyro as well as trimmed the bird out for me along with double checking everything. He then brought out an old set of Blade CP Pro training gear, slapped it on the bird and handed me the controls.
A bit nervous I spooled up the heli and brought it into a hover and man was it stable! I have been practicing on the sim and this thing was more stable, less twitchy, and locked in. I ended up putting about 8 packs through today and can't wait to get some more in tomorrow assuming weather holds. What an incredible feeling!
I'd like to thank everyone on here as well as all the awesome local and semi-local folks for all the assistance, guidence, and info I've been given. Without ya'll, I'd still be struggling and most likely had given up.
Also a HUGE thank you to Mike for putting up with all my newbie questions and checking everything out for me on both my birds. You're the man!
Mike took some pics today and I hope to have'em up soon!
I love my flying lawn mowers!
