Here is what a crashed N5 and crashed N9 look like spread across your work bench.

The N9 went in today. Not to bad. Got both carbon frames. My luck with frames has not been good lately. Was goofing off piroing as fast as possible while doing positive and negative collective pumps. Got to close to the ground on a hard negative pump.

Broke skids, frames, both tail and main blades, tail gears and some small stuff. Did not get the canopy.

Oh well, that's how I started the summer.

OUCH OUCH OUCH.. sorry to see the N9 went in also. I have always been really apprehensive of doing hard pitch pumps near mother earth. Seems like she is trying to reclaim her lost resources from you..

I just got done going through my spares. The only thing I need are frames and landing gear. I could just put G10 frames back on, but I'm debating about have a new set cut out of the same material my new N5 frames are made of.

I'm more disappoint with myself then anything else. I guess if you do not push the envelope you don't get any better.

One thing that is nice. I thought our FF was next weekend. Was not sure if I would have my parts for my N5. My buddy told me it's 2 weekends from now. I should have parts before then.

It's all part of it.

Thanks Jeff,

I'm going to pick up landing gear and tail blades from Tammies. I am figuring out the cost to have the main frames cut. I think I need to slow down a bit. HEHEHEHEHE

I promise mine was "better" (worse) a month ago. Why do you ask ? Well because I'm still down and let's face it, you know you have a fantastic crash when your fuel tank ends up 25ft away from where the heli crashed.

My plan is just to fly the N5 until Matt announces the new prices. I have everything except frames, skids, and tail blades for the N9. I really want to have new frames cut for the N9 but I'm really interested to see what Matt's plans are. If it changes a lot, like newer frame design, then I want to wait and see.

I think the N9 should get the servo layout like the N5, reverse the swash, and new clutch. I'm okay with the TT how it is. That woulds be a cool new N9. Just my thoughts.

Thanks Chris

I think in one the Synergy threads where people were knocking Synergy parts prices, I thought Matt said that updating the N9 was in the plans for the future. I could be wrong, but I thought he did say in the not too distant future when things settle down.

There looks to be some changes coming down the pike as far as the N9 is concerned.. I'm chomping at the bit for a E9 myself.. Been flying one of my own making since 2007.. It'll be nice to be able to buy parts after a crash rather than having to custom fab stuff.. Altho i
enjoy tinkering around with it, i'm anxious to try a factory version..

Sorry didn't mean to Hi-jack your thread.. Just couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore...
