Any idea about the reason for the tailcase setup on the Turbulence? The fact that the drive gear is on the front housing instead of a separate block like the Freya is very different and I figure there's got to be a reason for it. It is strange looking and I wonder why all the bother with the design like that. They went out of their way to make it different than anything I've seen and I'd like to know why.

If I understand the question correctly, the tail setup is different so there is more clearance between the tail boom and main rotor disk. By doing it the way that they did, it allows more aggressive maneuvers without the risk of a tailboom strike.

I don't quite understand the question.

I meant the front housing. What's going on with it? I guess there's no easier way to attach the tail to the frames and maintain a good gear mesh.

It could be due to the tail under design, but I still don't see why it is so different than anything I've seen.

The frame of the Freya Evo is plastic and integrated the clamp for the tail boom. The tail drive gear is mounted on the frame.

The Freya EX used 2 alu. clamps to hold the boom to the carbon frames.

On the Turbulence which is the G10 frames and what they came up with for the front housing feels very logic to me. They need a very strong front tail boom housing. Once installed, the drive gear is in the fixed position.

-I could be wrong???-
