Is there any plan for Mikado or any of the other "receiver" ready FBL units to integrate S-Bus compatability?
Now that S-Bus rx's are available, it would be nice to take advantage of some nice clean wiring with FBL.
Can anyone bring me up to date?

Not sure of Mikado’s schedule but Skookum should have a free S-Bus software upgrade available in a couple of weeks. I plan on having a S-Bus SK720 setup flying later this summer.

From the Beast X website:
MICROBEAST is able to process many types of sum signals (PPM / S-BUS / Spektrum). With the optional Spektrum Satellite Adapter, installation in indoor model helicopters is also possible without a great number of wires.
I'm sure I have read that V-bar & Total-G will support S-BUS too.

I have never heard any mention of the 3G supporting either system.

What ever happened to Total-G? I heard rumors that they had some sort of a setback that could delay them for a while?

There is a manual on their website but no sign of a release date.

FastLad were taking deposits on pre orders with an expected date of March. I wonder how many have asked for refunds?

Mikado VBar already has S-Bus compability.

They call it "single-line" on their site.
Single line RX
A RX with only 1 lead for signal output. The RX decodes the complete recieved digital signal and codes a PWM signal for each function. Now they will be appended to one complete analog PWM signal. The signals are "all in a row" as on a rc-teaching system. So one complete signal row contents every analog PWM signal of every function and a sync signal also. That is the reason why this data mangement will always be slower than standart above. Every analog signal has to be measured in iths pulse length by VStabi to get at least the stick postion of the TX. Also VStabi has to watch for the sync to start with the right signal decoding ... (Available for e.g. Jeti and Futaba)

Hi MrMel

So if we buy a Futab S Bus compatible Rx, will it be a plug and play type of thing, or will we need a programming cable etc to assign the channels in the Rx?

I would love to dump 3 cables between my Rx and V Bar.....

Regards
Paul

Haven't tested my self but as far as I know it should be plug and play (i.e. you assign channels in the Vbar if needed)

HC3-Xtreme

Hi there,

the HC3-Xtreme from HeliCommand/CAPTRON also features it from mid of June on, as well as PWM, Spektrum satellites and standard connection cable loom of course.

Manufacturers also need to make sure that their units will drive Futaba S-Bus servos as an option.
