I just finished a new V50 a couple of days ago and it was full of heavy grease.

do yourself a favor and wipe all that junk out or flush and use a nice light oil. After that it should break-in

no, it gets in the way more than anything causing the mini-rollers to stick.

Do a search on one-way lubrication. Really, you want a nice oil

no idea what that product is.

I just use some nice light oil that I got many years ago in a syringe
from Boca.

the first V50 I built a few months ago (and it's interesting to see the subtle changes in production run) didn't seem to have as much grease in the oneways.

Scorpion Bearing oil is too heavy, its almost like gear oil. Even smells like gear oil.

You'd be better off with a light oil like Triflow.

1+ on the Triflow, that's all I use the oil and red grease on the thrust bearings, stuff just lasts and lasts
