Hello Helicrackhigh, Make sure that your servo is not over working. Take your gyro out of heading hold,you should not have any drifting in normal mode. If so, pop the link and adjust it so that it holds in normal mode as well as heading hold. Also make sure you are running the correct voltage to your tail servo.

hello

ok,sorry it took me so long to reply,I found that the problem was from running at 5.8v,and after I installed a step down regulator the servo seems fine,gets warm,real warm but not hot.
the align servo can run up to 6v,but not on tail where it is working so hard.
the regulator is reducing voltage to 4.8 under load and 5.1 without load.
I maid the step down regulator by the way and the part can be found at radio shack,it is same diode used in align step down regulator.
pm me if you want details,real easy,and cost 85 cents plus a servo extension.

thank's

thank's again

ok here is the step down regulator instructions;
the Align 2 in 1 provides 5.8V which is a little bit to high for most rudder servos. Need to knock off 0.7V.
You can do this by taking a short servo extension wire.
Cut the red wire.
Solder a Diode 1N4001 in between the 2 ends (kathode to the servo side)-kathode is end with strip around end.
and your done.... Use this between your gyro and rudder servo.

you can find this diode at radio shack.
so all you need is diode 1n4001 and servo extension,each diode reduces voltage by 0.7v.
