Today is the day that big brown truck arrives! I've listened to Coronal long enough about how much better the Velocity is over the Align line (mainly the 600). So now its time to give it a try!

Although my 600 fly's nice (noticed I said nice, not great...), I've tired of it and would like it to do more, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

My skills have improved and now "I" can see it as well. Coronal keeps telling me how much "pop" the Velocity has and it fly's a lot like my Aurora. I like my 700N over my 600N due to the power factor and size, but I enjoy trying new maneuvers on a smaller heli, hence a much better 50 size heli to practice on!

Coronal keeps informing me of the new Velocity 90 coming. If it fly's way better than my 700N, well the 700 just might find its self on e-bay! Or maybe I'll try flybarless on the 700 first...Nah, sell it and buy 2 Velocity 90's!

Looking forward to updating my fleet.

First day of the build, finished the head assembly. I did find one thing so far, my flybar was bent, twisted bent. Have it fairly straight now, might order a new one, just for piece of mind.

Anything I need to be aware of before continuing? Also, what blades is everyone using? I'm using a modified Redline.

Now its time to goto bed!

Coronal,

I ordered the 2 upgrade parts with the Spektrum RevLimit Sensor & Bracket. I just finished harvesting all the electronics from my 600. I'll clean them up and start the install tomorrow. Might have it ready for test flight Sunday!

Do you have a set of blades for this monster? I really don't want to use those Align blades, they were great for the 600, but would like something much better suited for the Velocity.

evo4ever,

I'm looking forward to a fast heli, in a 50 size! Can't wait to test fly it. Thanks!

I had to order a Mini G! My Solid G was too big, wider than the frames.

So maybe the maiden will be next Saturday, was hoping for today.

Oh...but I did! John's hobby shop phone was off-line.

Not to worry ZR2Chevy2, I've been wanting to fly this bad boy of a very long time now. Now that I have one, I'll make sure its setup right. I waited this long, another few "minutes" won't kill me....but then again...

With Coronal checking my build, it will fly just fine. However, I did get one complement tonight....my choice of servos is a "bit" overkill. I told him they were for my Aurora. While waiting for it, I bought the 600 and used those servo to make sure they worked. I had one month left on the warranty for all the electronics. Once the Aurora came out, I bought all new servos for it.

So now I'm transferring those servos, from the 600, to my Velocity.

Here in the land of Lincoln, the wind and rain hasn't been very cooperative lately. But that's just another excuse!
