I have a vibe 90 converted to gas and need a cylinder head. I have a g26 that used to be a 3dmax motor. The head is cracked and needs a new one. The old piston is fine and was barely broke in. I thought about just getting another 3dmax head from BH but his 29cc will be coming out soon. I'm using a friends g231 until I get one. That motor runs great but it lacks power, well the power I like to fly with.
Is the 29cc worth waiting for or should I just go back to the 3dmax? I never got to really fly the 3dmax motor very much. It lacked power and was constantly running hot even while very rich. Which then I found the crack in the head causing my problems.
The heliproz/MA fun fly in MT is in July and I was really hoping to have a new motor broke in by then, and its looking doubtful that BH will have his 29cc ready to sell by then. So any opinions? Or other options?

After its all said and done, there is only one engine maker that I know that REALLY knows whats going on when it comes to helicopter engines..This one man has changed everything in the gasser world...
You just need to hope you have a power train to hold on to it.

That would be Wally

Well let me throw my 2 cents in this thread. I'm not as experienced as some, nor do I claim to be, but I've had a few engines and the Wally Big Bore Bad Boy is really something. The man knows what he's talking about and really stands behind his work.

Remember

Wally is a "God" in the gasser world...

Next to Century, he really has given me great support from all aspects of my heli and engine.

I too recommend Wally for your gas engine works.

Wally gets my vote. I have one and it runs good. I know first hand he stands behind his engine. Good luck with your choice.

So far, my only experience has been with Wally's engine. I can say without a doubt that it is one fine piece of work. When I win the lottery and can afford to buy other people's engines, I will gladly speak highly of them as well if they are up to snuff.
