Would appreciate it if anybody could tell me if the Align 3G flybarless system works on Xcell 60. If so, any modification needed? Thanks

I beleive the head would fit, but the pitch link rods may be to long-short.
I dont know if the 3 g does MCPM though.

The 700 has a 12mm main shaft and I think the Xcell 60 had a 10mm shaft but I could be wrong.

The Xcell 60 uses a 10mm main shaft. I looked at the 3G instructions and didn't see any mention of a mechanical mixing option.

All is not lost. The T-Rex 600 FBL head can be used and the Xcell 60 can be converted to 120 degree ccpm. It's been done many times. Unless the kit is really old, the swashplate is already drilled at 120 degrees.

A RJX head and a SK720 and may be a better choice. It would be a much easier bolt on and go fly upgrade.

The 600 head would fit the main shaft. It's a 10mm right? The conversion to 120 is easy to.

EDIT--Whoops, reread the thread, 3D beat me to it with the 600 head!

I also vote 720 or 360 skookum. My 360 is awesome on the 700! Good Luck!

The old X-Cell60 is not ECCPM.
There is no 120 degrees.
You can use the RJX FBL head and then use whatever FBl system you want to use.

He can't use the Turnigy / SJGD-600 / Axiom because they do not support MCCPM.
V-Bar, 720, Total-G will work.

Fury's are selling for cheap!

Instead of modifying your Xcell, you can get one of these:

I picked up this Fury Expert airframe with OS Max 60, Hatori pipe and unpainted canopy for cheap at the Hobbytown swap meet. This is going to be my next flybarless project.

Find a YS80 2nd hand, then if in fairly good condition just replace the ring.
The Expert rocks with a YS80
