I sold him a rave with like 6 flights with NO crashes on it got to him safe and sound and he claims the mainshaft , tail shaft and TT are bent and broken . Come on !!!

So I must have replaced the head parts ,blades , tail blade grips and shipped it to him with damaged parts ! What!!! Not a scratch on that stuff . This guy wants a crash kit with every heli he buys used .

Look at the vids he posted on youtube . If a tail shaft is that bent how could I possibly sent that out like that on the one and only Heli forum that I'm on . Really from a guy that has no feedback what so ever . Nice

You have to watch it

I sold a scale 600 to a guy. He lets me know that it was "severly damaged" in transit, and gives me an itemized list of about $180 in parts that he wants. Fortunately the shipment was insured, and I submitted it to UPS. They showed up at the guys location the next day, to inspect the damage, and he could show no damage to the heli. Says he already had everything fixed, but it was fixed "by a buddy" so he has no receipts or anything. Some real winners out there.

I don't why these people think they are so important that their own personal interests should come before this entire forum. People like him ruin this site for everyone, they create an atmosphere of distrust. I'm glad you put this out there and I know I won't be dealing with this guy. We need a blacklist for RR

I bought a Gaui 200 from Ironhide.

The item was better than described and he included more bits and pieces that described. I'd buy again from him in a heartbeat.

Jeff, this is seriously childish.

I have no reason to lie about the heli. I have been 100% honest and truthful about everything. Your feedback here is stellar so I had no reason to doubt your description of the heli. The videos does clearly show the damage though.

You claim I want a crash kit.. so are you saying that I bent the two shafts and broke the drive tube to get that from you? That makes no sense.

I have a FLEET of helicopters... seriously.

How does a TT and tailshaft get that bent and nothing else gets damaged . Mainshaft maybe , if the heli got pushed over and the blades were in .It was never crashed , at all , thats it .

And all I asked for was pics not to have you make videos of this crap , whos childish .

It just boils down to it left my hands in great working order and entered yours . You even said it got to you just fine . So how did all this damage happen . I could care less about the 20 dollars . No feedback and no pics ?

I do not post much on RR as I find navigating this site a bit difficult. Feel free to check me out on HF, RCG and RCU. I am a very active memeber on those sites. I am sure I could easily get quite a few people to come over here and vouch for me.

I am 42 years old and have been a machinist for over half of my life. I am currently a race car engineer, machinist, fabricator and builder. I am very detail oriented.

I have over 30 RC helicopters currently and have bought, flown and sold many more. I wanted to add a Rave to my collection of 450s. I have every other high end 450 out there including two Furions, an Outrage G5, Beam E4, and Trex 450 Pro. The price on Jeff's Rave was really good and I scooped it up. I did not think that a person with so many posts, that had been around as long as he has been and had such good feedback would sell a bum unit.

Plain and simple, the heli was not as described. A tweaked tail shaft I can understand. They are somewhat fragile and maybe it got bent when taking the heli apart to ship it. The main shaft and drive tube are another story.

Feel free to check Jeff's post history and you too will find that the Rave had been tipped over killing a set of blades and also been put down hard enough to break the landing gear. The canopy is also cracked and scratched on the bottom as he described in the ad but for some reason here he claims it did not have a scratch on it.

Watch the videos that he posted up and you decide for yourself. It is clear that all three shafts are damaged. Would it make sense for me to damage them myself to "try" to get them replaced?

Jeff, I am sorry that things turned out this way. I only left the feedback to let others know of my experience.

Ivan

How do you take a pictures of a slightly bent shafts? I made the videos which clearly show the shafts bent. I was waiting for you to see them so I could take them down. I sent you links to them twice. The first time you said you did not get them. I sent them again at your request and never heard back from you. Looks like you got the the second time just fine.

"The true test of character is not what a man does when all is well, but what a man does when life becomes difficult."

I traded my Protos to a guy for his Trex 600E. Several weeks later when he went to fly it, he had issues with the motor just "cogging", not spooling up and getting really hot. I explained it was perfect when it left and asked what I could do to rectify the situation. He said he felt it was the motor and that he was going to get a Scorpion motor for it instead. I suggested that he send me the motor so I could test it and if it was damaged, I could send it off for warranty consideration. When I got the motor, it tested fine. I sent the motor back on my dime and also included my Castle Link cable so he could check the settings on the ESC. Turned out that he was setting the heli up on a Futaba system and the throttle channel was reversed so the ESC entered the programming mode and the settings were messed up. When he fixed the settings with the Castle Link cable, everything was fine. This situation was resolved and cost me shipping and a Castle Link cable. It was well worth the peace of mind I get knowing I did what was right.

In our situation, I notified you of the issues the day I received the heli. We PMd back and forth a couple times and at one point you suggested I was scamming you... another time you said you wanted to make things right. I provided you with videos of the issues and gave you every opportunity to address the situation. Never once did I demand anything from you or even ask for a thing. I left it up to you to decide what to do. I did not hear back from you for a couple days so I PMd you again and you said you did not get the videos. I sent the links again and got nothing in reply over the next day despite you being active in the forums. It was then that I posted the feedback.

Now you start this thread to bash me...

Perhaps the damage came from one or several of the previously undisclosed "incidents" with the heli. I believe it is possible that you missed the damage. I would call into question your attention to detail. Based on the fact that you missed the issue with the elevator servo arm hitting the pitch servo case on the build (see the videos you posted), it would not surprise me if you did not notice a bent shaft or to and spongy tail drive system.

I am done perusing the situation. It is very clear that you did / do not want to address the issues. I am happy to continue this conversation in PMs or public if you choose to further question my honesty.

just a comment...

I don't know either of you really....BUT ...

as an observer of the situation I have to say that it doesn't look good for you Ironhide ...

I would have thought it would be easier to just replace the shafts and call it a day...I have sold a million things here myself...and while we never intentionally try to sell bent or damaged stuff...sometimes we just miss things...as a seller it's easier to just accept it and replace the parts...

bringing this to the forum in this case kind of reflects poorly on you...the videos undoubtedly show the damage 9sec240 speaks of...

if he notified you on the day he got the heli you should have just sucked it up and replaced the parts and said sorry...would have been resolved at that point..

it's just a bummer that this all happened when a little communication would have resolved it..

Just my $.02 though

Best of luck to you both

Anthony

I agree with JAG72, although I think the Negative feedback should have been held off a while longer, to try and resolve.

Good luck
