Just order a metal swash for my radikal. I noticed that the ungrade has a long and a shorter ball on the inner portion. My stock one has the same length ball all the way around.
My question is, do I need to make the upgrade ball lengths the same?

Thanks
Curt

Just remove all the balls from the Metal swash and install all the balls from the plastic one. I would also suggest you run a tap in all the threaded holes on the metal swash to clean them out before installing the other balls.

Thanks Sparx...again!

BTW radikal is running great now. My engine temps are down to about 230-240. It was quite warm here though last weekend, low 90's.

Good to hear.

Have you installed the air redirect at the bottom of the fan shroud? This is done get some airflow over the bottom of the cylinder head. If you have not, you should expect to see somewhat higher temps as it is not really in the airflow.

For temps in the low 90's probably not. If it is flying well, do not mess with it. The engine will tell you if it is not happy.

Hi Curtgra.

I'd leave the short ball links in place and connect them to the swash-to-head links. Reason I say this is I over reamed one of those links and noticed it could twist so it would hit the outside riser on the swash, if this happened in flight, well...... I just installed new short links like the metal swash has as a safety precaution and replaced the links.
