I have to power up my 3G twice almost every time to get the tail gyro to work.Just flip the switch off a second and back on and the gyro works.

I had a Helicommand that did the same thing a year ago.

This leads me to believe it's in the radio.DX7.

Also, when I would go to set up the Helicommand,it wouldn't work because it didn't recognize the sticks in a neutral position.

Where should I look for the problem?
Or should I just keep powering up twice? No biggie.Got a power switch outside the canopy.

Could be the little wire that goes from the receiver to the satelite, wiggle it around a bit and if you find it works then you know you need a new one, sometimes when you wiggle it around you will see the light in the satalite blink if its warn out, its quite a common thing Ive only just found out about, Ive had the occasional innitialize prob for ages, was no major drama would just turn the switch on and off as you say, but new wire fixed it, even just wiggleing it around fixed it for me.

Sometimes the spektrum radios have an issue initializing if the radio is to close to the heli. Try placing it a couple feet from the heli to see if that helps.

Spitfire,I'll check the wires.

Baddynergy,I think you nailed it.
I plug in the heli with the radio sitting right by it.Then leave the radio behind when I carry the heli out.I come back, gyro doesn't work.
I leave the radio behind again and go out and recycle the heli.
The first time they are inches apart and the second they are 20 feet apart.

I'm going outside to try that right now.
I'll let you know...

I kept the radio and heli away from each other and plugged in the heli and turned on the switch.

I cycled like this five times and the gyro worked all five times.

Very simple.

I've noticed that my 3G is unflyable a few times too.
I went all through the set up again and now I'm thinking this was the issue for all of it.

Thanks.
