Got one on the way and was wondering about using it as a receiver! Does it have extra channels other than the flight servos? Do you run the throttle through it and if so can you use a governor? Can you use a switchglo on it's own channel or should I Y it off the tail gain channel? I had one of the original V-bars, but am recently getting back into flying after a year off. Oh and do I need two sattelites or will one work? I'm using a 9303

Go to you tube and do a search on vbar 101. Everything you need to know is there.

Just another crappy day in Paradise....Aloha!

Any thing bigger than a 450, 2 satellite are recommended. At this time, no governor function but it's coming with the next firmware update. Yes you can use a governor such as multigov, for now. I think you can use switchglow just assigned one of the switches to the available aux channel. However, please confirm this.

Great, thank you....I am planning on using a multigov, is it fair to assume there is a channel for the multigov in addition to the throttle channel?

Yes and Yes.

The connection for the multigov to the vbar will be:

Multigov Vbar
Throttle to collective
RPM to rudder

SV1 to throttle servo
Sensor to magnetic sensor.

Also, you need to assign aux2 in Step2 of set up mode to "6."

Since you are using the 9303, assign "gear" to "gov."

Awesome, that is exactly what I was looking for, thank you. One more question, if running 2s, does the V-bar reduce the voltage to the tail servo? Or do I need a step-down regulator? Thanks again....

No the vbar isn't a power regulator. You'll need to step it down yourself.

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.
