bigger teeth = less likely to strip the gears. No other real advantage so I'm sticking with the mod .7 gears as they are quieter and I haven't stripped one yet.

I switched to Micro heli gears the cheaper ones and stripped several

the ones for 9.99 each are junk they will strip.. I got the CNCed gear from micro heli for I think around 26.99 and they work good.. I prolly shouldn't have even changed from the stock gear setup cause I didn't have any real trouble out of them. I think if I strip one of these gears I'm going back to stock ones.

Before the -1 gear, flight during colder months (below 50deg) costed us one main gear every 10-30 flights. But, after installing -1, we have not lost a single main gear. Two -1 mains in two 700s have well over 700 flights combined (even through crashes).

I would save the money and put it somewhere else.

Yes, LE kits come with the -1 gear, NOT the mod 1 gear.

Whats the difference between the original 164T main gear and the -1 164T main gear? I'm currently running the Mod 1.

The -1 is slightly larger in diameter to make the gear mesh tighter.

Thanks Marc

I'm using the G-force adjustable bearing block with mod 1 main and auto gears, so I don't think going back to the 164t would be needed. I also perfer having the thinker teeth.
